“Courage in women is often mistaken for insanity,” said a psychiatrist. The Women’s Movement was energized during the 1960s. But history reminds us that it started many years before the 1960s.

In the 1960s, we met Betty Friedan. She was a founder of NOW, the National Organization for Women.
