Laugh In 2012

Welcome to 2012!
Have you resolved to commit to your resolutions? I have one resolution to add to your list.
Resolve to laugh each and every day. Here’s how to start.

As you may recall, the 1960s were full of sit-ins, be-ins and love-ins. One of my favorite “ins” was Laugh In. Rowan & Martin’s Laugh In debuted as a special comedy show on the NBC network on September 9, 1967. It was so good that a series of Laugh In shows ran from January 22, 1968 to May 14, 1973, for a total of 140 episodes. The hosts, comedians Dan Rowan and Dick Martin, were joined by a cast of recurring characters that tossed off one-liners that had the network censors chasing them to the set for the weekly broadcast.

Some gags were sharply political or commented on the issues of the times. Other gags were wonderfully silly.
Goldie Hawn is a respected actress who gained international attention when she was a regular on Laugh In.
