In 1968, San Francisco State University erupted in what would become the longest student strike in history, without any social media.

In 2016, students felt moved to defend the ethnic studies department, that was created in 1969, against budget cuts. Here is a clip about that struggle:

The March For Our Lives, organized by a group of high school students from Florida, used social media to spread their call to action to cities around the world.
Young people have made their views known for years. These current activists are articulate and dedicated. And as shown by Naomi at the march in Washington, D.C, you may be only 11 years old, but you can have a voice on an issue that you care about.
